In order to separate two liquid non-mixable phases (dispersions and emulsions) M. V. International's Safety and Environmental Solutions produces coalescers out of stainless steel, synthetic fibers, or out of combined materials which are used very successfully in the process technology.
Applications
· Chemical plants
· Waste water treatment
· Process technology
· Refineries
The way such a coalescer works is to bring together two small droplets of the dispersion phase to a bigger one (coalescence) at the wire or fiber.
Hydrophilic (stainless steel) and oleophilic (PP, PE, PFTE) surfaces have proved to be a perfect combination. The most effective areas for the coalescence are the crossing points of the two materials.
M. V. International's coalescers are available as wire mesh package as well as in cassette form to be joined together as modules.
We use a wide range of metals, synthetic monofilaments and fiber products.
